Systems Engineering Intern

The Systems Engineering Intern position offers engineering students practical experience in designing and developing hardware and software solutions while contributing to networking and AI-related projects.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting in the design and development of hardware and software solutions utilizing Windows and Redhat Linux platforms
• Contributing to networking projects by configuring switches, enhancing network security, and supporting infrastructure improvements
• Participating in AI-related projects will involve learning and applying emerging technologies to real-world problems
• Utilizing 3D printing technology for prototype development and other engineering applications, gaining hands-on experience with innovative manufacturing techniques
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be key to achieving project milestones, and you will be expected to document your work thoroughly, prepare reports, and present project outcomes to stakeholders
• Developing a comprehensive understanding of systems engineering processes, security protocols, and the integration of cutting-edge technologies in defense systems

Requirements:

• Applicants should be actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
• Proficiency in Windows and Redhat Linux programming
• Strong networking skills, particularly with Cisco technologies
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, Network+, or Security+
• Hands-on experience in switch configuration, computer hardware building, and designing equipment
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and teamwork skills
• Additional experience in Arduino programming considered a plus
• Familiarity with 3D printing technology and AI applications
• Additional coursework or certifications in related areas will be viewed favorably
