Evestar is an e-commerce performance marketing agency serving DTC brands, and they are seeking a Head of Partnerships & Business Development to build a formalized partner channel. The role involves developing partnerships, driving new client acquisition, and managing events to elevate Evestar's brand within the partner ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct an internal audit of client tech stacks to identify tools with highest saturation and partnership potential
- Review existing partner program status with key technology providers (Klaviyo, Shopify, TripleWhale, Attentive, Recharge, Gorgias, etc.)
- Manage partner program certifications, priority status requirements, and tier advancement
- Identify and onboard new technology partners based on product category, ICP alignment, and value-add to clients
- Establish and maintain regular cadence with partner POCs for referral exchange, ICP swapping, and lead list sharing
- Coordinate partner amplification: published case studies, webinars, branding content, and speaking engagements
- Implement CRM tooling and referral tracking systems to manage mutual referral pipelines
- Drive a minimum of 8-10 brand introductions per month from SaaS partners, targeting 4+ signed clients/month (based on ~50% close rate)
- Collaborate with internal account and sales teams to ensure smooth handoffs from partner introductions to client onboarding
- Equip internal teams with partner resources and key introduction points to drive value in both directions
- Plan and host 2 events per month, primarily in NYC and Miami markets
- Identify and secure co-host partners for each event
- Manage venue coordination, promotional materials, and event branding
- Develop a recurring event series with consistent branding to build long-term audience and partner engagement
- Attend and host ancillary events surrounding major trade shows (Shoptalk, eTail, SubSummit, etc.)
- Improve Evestar's earned media positioning with SaaS partners through co-authored content, webinars, and speaking opportunities
- Drive reciprocal investment from larger SaaS partners who have not historically given equal attention to Evestar
Requirements:
- 3-7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or channel sales in the DTC, e-commerce, or SaaS space
- Demonstrated network of relationships with e-commerce SaaS providers
- Experience managing formal partner programs and referral pipelines
- Track record of generating revenue through partnership channels
- Strong event planning and hosting experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills — comfortable representing the agency to brand founders, CMOs, and SaaS partner teams
- Familiarity with the DTC tech stack (Shopify, Klaviyo, Meta Ads, TripleWhale, Gorgias, Recharge, Attentive, etc.)
- Self-directed and comfortable building a function from scratch
- Prior experience at a DTC SaaS company or digital marketing agency
- Existing relationships with e-commerce technology partner managers
- Experience with Shopify Plus partner programs or similar tier-based partner ecosystems
- Background in retention/email marketing or paid media (helpful for credibility in partner conversations)
