The Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) is a distinguished public higher education system seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst or Senior Business Analyst specializing in Finance and Grants. The primary responsibility of this position is to support the implementation, configuration, and optimization of Workday enterprise systems that underpin the financial and grants management functions across NSHE campuses.
Responsibilities:
- Providing comprehensive functional support to Workday users, focusing on finance and grants modules
- Troubleshooting system issues
- Configuring business processes
- Assisting stakeholders in optimizing workflows
- Designing and developing reports, integrations, and data extracts to support business operations and decision-making
- Developing technical specifications for system customizations and enhancements
- Participating in quality assurance testing
- Ensuring system updates align with Workday releases
- Serving as a primary contact for functional users regarding report creation, security roles, and integrations
- Analyzing business processes
- Recommending improvements
- Assisting in implementing process redesigns to enhance efficiency
- Collaborating with internal teams, external vendors, and campus stakeholders
- Maintaining documentation
- Providing user training
- Supporting ongoing system upgrades and configurations
- Contributing to process improvement initiatives
- Utilizing business process analysis tools

Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or a related field from an accredited institution
- Minimum of two (2) years of directly applicable experience
- Alternatively, candidates with six or more years of relevant experience will also be considered
- For the Senior Business Analyst role, a Bachelor's Degree with four (4) years of relevant experience or a Master's Degree with at least two (2) years of experience is required
- Demonstrated expertise in Workday, especially in Finance or Grants modules
- Strong communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement
- Ability to work proactively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to technological changes
- Workday Pro Certification(s)
- Experience in higher education settings
- Solid understanding of grants management processes
- Preference for candidates possessing eight or more years of experience
