Job Description
This position is eligible for an additional sign-on bonus.
The Data Analyst is responsible for program evaluation and reporting for the health services delivered under the contract. The role maintains accurate health data, supports Electronic Health Record (EHR) workflows and required data fields, tracks and reports Serious Mental Illness (SMI) and related health status information, and prepares recurring and ad hoc reports required by the government client. The position supports data accessibility, privacy, security, record retention, quality assurance, and contract compliance for health documentation and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform program evaluation and reporting for health services in accordance with contract requirements.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and current program data in approved systems and records used for patient care tracking, reporting, and oversight.
- Track, record, and maintain the required list of patients identified with a serious mental disorder or condition and/or Serious Mental Illness (SMI), including required status elements and safe release planning data.
- Support completion, quality review, and timely routing of required behavioral health forms and reports, including weekly behavioral health status reporting and other required submissions.
- Support EHR configuration and documentation workflows required for behavioral health services, including mental health assessment referral prompts and required data fields tied to behavioral health screening and follow-up.
- Maintain data quality and documentation integrity for behavioral health records, including review for completeness, internal consistency, and alignment with contract-required reporting elements.
- Prepare scheduled and ad hoc reports in the format, distribution, and timing required by the government client, and maintain supporting records for inspection and audit.
- Support government access to current program data in approved formats and within required time frames, including machine-readable and human-readable outputs where required.
- Protect patient information and sensitive data by following all applicable privacy, security, access-control, retention, and disclosure requirements.
- Participate in quality assurance, audits, inspections, corrective actions, and policy review activities related to behavioral health documentation, reporting, and service compliance.
- Coordinate with clinical, operational, and oversight stakeholders to resolve data issues, reconcile reporting discrepancies, and support continuity of care documentation.
- Maintain documentation and reporting processes that support interoperability, accessibility, and government-owned data requirements applicable to the program.
- Complete required security, information technology, and compliance training applicable to system access and data handling responsibilities.
- Perform other contract-scope reporting, recordkeeping, and documentation duties assigned in support of behavioral health operations.
- Completes required organizational compliance education, including assigned requirements that are client-specified, for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification or other regulatory bodies.

Qualifications
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Knowledge of healthcare documentation, program reporting, and data management processes needed to support a contract-operated Health Unit.
- Working knowledge of Electronic Health Record (EHR) workflows, behavioral health data fields, record maintenance, and report preparation.
- Knowledge of privacy, security, and records management requirements applicable to protected health information and sensitive government data, including Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliance requirements.
- Ability to maintain accurate records, validate required data elements, and prepare required weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports.
- Ability to support data accessibility, interoperability, labeling, formatting, and retention requirements for government-owned program data.
- Ability to work with behavioral health, nursing, administrative, quality assurance, and government oversight stakeholders to resolve data and reporting issues.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow approved access, disclosure, and escalation procedures.
Physical Requirements:
- This position is considered hazardous duty.
- Required to walk unaided at a normal pace for up to 5 minutes and maintain balance.
- Required to jog/fast walk up to ¼ mile.
- Requires physical exertion such as lifting objects greater than 30 pounds.
- Required to perform CPR/emergency care standing or kneeling.
- Must have the ability to assist sick, injured, or aging patients or staff exiting the building (may require lifting, dragging, wheeling, or carrying someone who weighs significantly more than self).
- Must be able to see, hear and smell with aids if necessary.
- Must be able to lift, push, or carry 30 pounds.
- Must perform the duties of my job in a stressful and often austere environment without physical limitations.
- Sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time.
- Average manual dexterity for computer operation.
- Phone or computer use for extended periods of time.
Other Special Qualifications:
- Minimum of 21 years of age.
- Must maintain current/physical residency in the continental U.S.
- Pass a medical examination conducted by a licensed physician within 30 days prior to initial assignment.
- Be a U.S. citizen or a person lawfully admitted into the U.S. for permanent residence.
- Have resided in the U.S. for the last five years (unless abroad on official U.S. government duty).
- Successfully engage in and complete a thorough Background Investigation.
- Poses or have ability to obtain required security clearances.
- Proficiency in Spanish is preferred.

Compensation Disclaimer:
Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.
