Surrounded by the scenic beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains, our Wellness Center serves as a hub for health, relaxation, and active living.
We are seeking a service-focused Wellness Center Supervisor to help lead daily operations of the Wellness Center, Spa and Salon, and recreational areas. This position supports staff, oversees day-to-day operations, coordinates group bookings, and helps ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for members and guests.
This is a full-time position scheduled to work weekdays and weekends for a total of 40 hours per week. Essential Job Functions
Supervision & Operations
• Supervise daily staff activities and ensure schedules and assignments are followed
• Provide guidance, coaching, and support to team members
• Ensure company policies, procedures, and service standards are followed
• Handle member and guest concerns professionally and resolve issues promptly
• Monitor cleanliness, safety, and overall presentation of the facility
• Assist with training and onboarding new employees
• Communicate effectively with management regarding operations and staff performance
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Wellness Center operations, products, services, and programs
• Monitor usage rules for the Wellness Center, fitness center, and indoor pool to ensure member, guest, and staff safety
• Ensure cleanliness, organization, and professional appearance of all areas, including retail floor displays
Guest Services, Reservations & Retail
• Collect and manage reservations for fitness programs, Spa & Salon appointments, and group bookings
• Provide accurate information to members and guests regarding Wellness Center services, Spa & Salon services, recreational programs, and related offerings
• Assist guests with sports equipment, rentals, activities, Summer Camp reservations, and retail point-of-sale transactions
• Perform cash-handling procedures for revenue transactions in accordance with company policies
Group Coordination
• Organize, coordinate, and manage group Spa & Salon bookings
• Serve as the primary contact for group inquiries and planning
• Coordinate schedules, staffing, and facility usage for group visits
• Prepare itineraries, confirmations, and follow-up communications
• Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction before, during, and after group experiences
Additional Duties
• Drive a passenger van as needed in support of departmental operations
• Perform additional related duties, including cleaning and organization, as assigned by the Wellness Director
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1-2 years of experience in hospitality, customer service, retail, or supervisory work preferred
• Valid North Carolina driver’s license required
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred, or willingness to obtain
• Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail, motivation, and ability to multitask
• Must be able to work varied shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
• Moderate physical activity, including lifting or moving objects up to 50 pounds
• Standing and/or walking for eight (8) hours or more per day
• Moderate exposure to extreme temperatures and/or loud noises
• Some exposure to hazards or physical risks requiring basic safety precautions
• Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, stooping, and frequent use of hands and fingers
• Ability to drive a vehicle in the performance of job duties
