Do you enjoy building relationships and making a direct impact in your community? The New Hampshire Food Bank is seeking a full-time Fresh Rescue Coordinator. The Fresh Rescue Coordinator plays a vital role in helping ensure that nutritious food reaches individuals and families in need. In this role, you will cultivate partnerships with local grocery stores, food manufacturers, businesses, and community organizations to secure food donations that support our food bank network.
The Fresh Rescue Coordinator works closely with donors and partners to grow existing donation programs, identify new food recovery opportunities, and ensure donated food is safely and efficiently distributed to partner agencies. This position also assists with agency relations tasks and works to support special events and fundraising initiatives that help strengthen our mission to fight hunger.
Job Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with the Food Bank Agency Relations Manager to develop and implement an annual food donation outreach plan.
· Build and maintain relationships with local retailers, manufacturers, businesses, and community partners to generate food donations.
· Identify and develop new food recovery opportunities and donor partnerships.
· Monitor donor requests to ensure food donations meet safety standards and are appropriate for distribution to partner agencies.
· Assist with special events and fundraising initiatives that support food bank programs.
Requirements
· Associate’s degree (AS) or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
· 1–3 years of experience in packaged goods sales, food distribution, or a related field; food industry experience preferred.
· ServSafe Certification required or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
· Warehousing or food handling experience strongly preferred.
