Summary:
The Data Observability Analyst works with Business partners to understand data use requirements, ensure compliance with internal and external policies and regulations, and Conduct Data analysis and Validation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works with Business partners to understand requirements for data use, analysis, and quality.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations, including data privacy, security, and governance standards, and therefore must maintain knowledge of the legal, compliance and regulatory issues impacting data.
- Conduct complex data analysis and validation.
- Monitor and improve data metrics. Develop and distribute advanced data reports.
- Collaborate with IT and Business teams on data-related projects.
- Generate and distribute regular data reports to stakeholders.
- Ensure metrics are monitored daily and alerts stakeholders when variances are detected.
- Develop reports/dashboards for executive leadership to communicate statistics and other relevant information
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3+ years of related experience in data-related operations, business operations or process support roles.
- 2 years prior development experience in modern development languages.
- 2 years prior development experience using Tableau reports.
- 2 years experience with SQL. Writing complex queries, stored procedures, and scale performance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced experience with Data Warehouse technologies and products.
- Background in statistics.
- Background in Financial Services
- Proficiency in Data management tools.
- Knowledge of Data governance and data quality principles.
- Ability to design, document, and optimize operational workflows and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Understanding of Data management and Data Quality principles, best practices and processes.
- Technical knowledge, skills and experience using data management tools.
- Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and multitask within a collaborative work environment
- Willingness and aptitude for continuous improvement
- Do the right thing attitude while being a strong team player
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, focus on customer service
