Electrical Engineer

METRIX IT SOLUTIONS INC is looking for a Power Systems Application Engineer who is flexible to travel as needed based on business requirements. The role involves developing, customizing, and delivering Energy Management Systems for Electric Power Utilities and requires strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.

Responsibilities:

• Have to be willing to travel to customer's site not 100% remote needs to be flexible to travel as needed based on business requirements
• 4+ years of work experience in development, customizing and delivering 4+ Energy Management Systems for Electric Power Utilities leveraging 4+ industry practices
• Knowledgeable and Proficient in Power DMS, Transmission EMS Implementations including SCADA
• 4years of experience with C, Java & SQL/Oracle Database
• 3+ years of experience with OOPS skills with basic C++ & Full stack Java
• 4+ years of experience with EMS, AEMS product development
• 4 Years of experience with LINUX and Windows Operating Systems SQL, shell scripting, ability to read and interpret logs & debug files
• 4 years’ experience on Realtime or Mission Critical Systems
• Must have experience in picking up and installing fixes on live customer systems
• Proven track record of problem analysis, identification and resolution
• Strong troubleshooting & debugging skills
• Ability to manage client discussions, and technical reviews
• Effective communication, documentation, and presentation abilities
• Familiarity with project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, or similar)
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills
