Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an Engineer for a contract with a client in Charlotte, NC. The role involves executing Windchill Bulk Migrator processes, performing data validation, and developing SQL-based custom scripts for data migration.

Responsibilities:

• Execute end‑to‑end Windchill Bulk Migrator (WBM) processes including data extraction, transformation, and loading for CAD and non‑CAD datasets
• Perform detailed data validation, integrity checks, and reconciliation to ensure accuracy throughout migration cycles
• Develop migration strategies, mapping documents, validation rules, and approach documentation for large‑scale PLM data transitions
• Create and optimize SQL scripts and custom utilities for data analysis, validation automation, and troubleshooting
• Collaborate effectively with onsite/offshore teams and directly engage with customers to gather requirements and resolve technical challenges
• Support ETL processes and leverage tools such as Informatica or Talend while utilizing scripting languages (Java, Python, Perl) for custom validations

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• 8–10 years of experience in PLM data migration, Windchill systems, or related technical roles
• Strong expertise in Windchill architecture, WBM‑based data migration, and large‑scale CAD/non‑CAD data handling
• Proficiency in SQL (Oracle/SQL Server) and scripting (Java, Python, Perl) for custom validation, with familiarity in ETL tools such as Informatica or Talend
