Netflix is one of the world's leading entertainment services, and they are seeking a versatile, strategic, and industrious Games Product Manager to join their Mainstream Games team. The role involves shaping and operating the lifecycle of a sub-section of their portfolio of games, driving engagement, retention, and long-term value.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with game development teams to ensure execution of the performance strategy for a portion of our mainstream portfolio, driving towards improvements on acquisition, retention, engagement, and repeat play
- Partner with game developers to design and optimize player onboarding, seasonal updates, content refreshes etc that are scalable and repeatable
- Leverage player behavior, telemetry, and observational research to improve game performance, while considering how different genre audiences engage with your titles
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to our games
- Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams (including production, design, marketing, product, finance, data science, and engineering)
- Guide game teams through the transition from launch to live service, ensuring a seamless post-launch plan with clear rhythms
- Champion experimentation, learning, and iteration — from UI tweaks to new gameplay modules — always with our core player and their joy at the center
- Help ensure our games are must-play games to a diverse global audience
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in product management for games or highly related role
- Experience in live service games with massive communities is strongly preferred
- Deep understanding of live game systems including content updates, events, progression, and repeat play hooks
- Strong data fluency with a track record of using insights to drive product decisions
- Ability to think strategically and execute tactically, balancing long-term roadmap with day-to-day operations
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills; comfortable influencing across teams and disciplines
- Adaptability and comfort navigating ambiguity in a rapidly evolving organization
