Environmental Modeling Software Engineer | Remote

Crossing Hurdles is focused on environmental engineering and they are seeking an Environmental Engineer – AI Trainer. The role involves designing systems to manage environmental impacts, conducting assessments, and collaborating with teams to address environmental challenges using advanced modeling tools.

Responsibilities:

• Design or oversee systems and processes to manage environmental impacts across water, air, and soil
• Conduct environmental impact assessments for land use and infrastructure projects
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address remediation, compliance, and sustainability challenges
• Advise organizations and agencies on regulatory procedures and environmental best practices
• Develop and document project objectives, analyses, and progress reports
• Use advanced modeling, CAD, and GIS tools to analyze and visualize environmental data
• Contribute subject matter expertise to train and refine AI-driven environmental engineering tools

Requirements:

• Proficiency with environmental modeling tools such as MIKE SHE, MODFLOW, Eko, and ESRI ArcGIS/ArcView
• Experience with analytical software including S-PLUS and MATLAB
• Knowledge of hazardous materials management, greenhouse gas tracking systems, and compliance management platforms
• Strong skills in CAD and GIS tools including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and CADD systems
• Familiarity with MSDS standards and environmental regulatory requirements
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote, cross-functional environment
