Unqork is a company that empowers enterprises to build and run AI-native applications. They are seeking a Principal Product Designer to define the foundational Information Architecture for a new AI-enabled Integrated Development Environment (IDE), focusing on user experience and system logic.

Responsibilities:

Report to our VP of Product & Design, and partner closely with our Chief Technology & AI Officer
Define Core Mental Models: Establish the system structures for a new AI-enabled IDE, representing projects, modules, components, and services
Architect System Logic: Design the IA for complex data workflows, including dependencies, versioning, state, and environments
Lead AI-Native Interaction: Design workflows where natural language is the primary interface for generation and iteration
Design for AI Reliability: Build frameworks for AI-driven validation and troubleshooting, ensuring human oversight and reversibility are first-class features
Bridge Technical Abstractions: Partner with architects to translate complex configuration-driven systems into intuitive developer experiences
Scale Enterprise Governance: Ensure the UX supports high-stakes requirements like auditability, compliance, and permissions without sacrificing speed

Requirements:

10+ years of experience in product design, with a background in designing developer platforms, IDEs, or internal tools for enterprise/regulated software
Systems Thinking Mastery: Deep expertise in IA and a strong understanding of how engineers plan, build, test, and deploy software
Technical Breadth: Comfort designing for declarative systems, complex state, and traceable workflows
AI-First Mindset: Experience embedding AI into core workflows with a focus on trust, explainability, and failure modes
Strategic Versatility: Ability to define new interaction paradigms in ambiguous spaces
Bonus: Experience building at high-scale developer platforms, modern AI labs, or enterprise-grade orchestration tools within industry-defining organizations
