Are you ready to lead and inspire a team in a dynamic and rewarding environment? We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Plant Manager to oversee our ready mix plant operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Promote a safe working culture and work with safety and field personnel to minimize risks.
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring safe production, quality control, and customer satisfaction.
- Drive operational performance and improvements to meet or exceed company goals.
- Provide leadership and direction to ensure efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources.
- Build effective teams and develop direct reports for future opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws concerning safety and the environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience in the construction field (desired).
- Minimum of 3 years of plant management or related experience (highly desired).
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Excellent skills with Microsoft Office and the ability to rapidly learn different software applications.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Knowledgeable about materials and equipment needed to perform tasks.
- Ability to make cost-effective decisions on projects.
Work Requirements:
- Willingness to work nights and weekends when necessary.
- Compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements in designated areas.
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and criminal background check.
- Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures.
- Willingness to travel and work away from home when required.
- Ability to wear a respirator in workplace conditions containing fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.
- Ability to work in both office and field environments.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk or stand for more than one-third of the time, or sit for no more than one-third of the time.
- Ability to climb stairs/ladders to examine equipment at heights.
- Ability to move/carry objects up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
