Assembler

Education and Experience:

1. High school diploma or GED certificate preferred or work experience in a related occupation

 

Working Conditions:

1. Must be able to work overtime, including weekends
2. Must be physically capable of standing/working 8+ hour shift(s)
3. Must be able to lift, carry and/or move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
4. Must be able to work in non-climate-controlled areas
5. Must be able to wear required safety equipment

Essential Functions of the Job:

1. Follow all company and departmental safety rules including proper use of personal protective equipment
2. Performs all required quality checks to assure products conform to company
3. Maintains 5s standards of housekeeping in work area
4. Meets production requirements
5. Assists in setup for production
6. Communicates what tools are needed to continuously improve inefficiencies in various operations
7. Assembles components and sub-assemblies into completed product
8. Maintains documentation as needed including updating of hour by hour boards
9. Assists in training coworkers in proper work procedures and safety
10. Performs other duties as assigned

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA’s):

1. Must be able to read blueprints and/or work instructions
2. Must be mechanically inclined and have good eye/hand coordination
3. Knowledge of, and ability to use, both hand and power tools essential
4. Ability to operate overhead crane as necessary
5. Knowledge of product operational functions necessary
