
Responsible for determining differential diagnosis of Speech/Swallowing/Feeding disorders by conducting appropriate evaluations. Plans and administers therapeutic services to patients in addition to counseling patients and/or families (guardian) regarding patients' disorder. Writes evaluation reports and maintains patient files. Maintains current knowledge of regulatory/legislative policies as apply to the profession of Speech Language Pathology and adheres to same.
Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program. Current Temporary NJ State License in Speech-Language Pathology and working towards permanent NJ State License by the end of CF. Working towards fulfillment of Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP). If working in a school system, a NJ Department of Education Certification as Speech-Language Specialist is required. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required at time of hire or within 3 months of hire. QI (Quality Indicators) certification required for Wayne employees only and to be taken following employment and training and then certification must be taken through the rehab program (Uniform Data System for Medical Rehab-UDSmr).
