How will you make an impact in this role?

Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) is a critical Enterprise function, serving as the backbone of all we do, from providing the underlying infrastructure of the company to building core products and services we deliver to our customers. The Tech Investment Finance team creates enterprise value through data-driven insights and analytics of Technology Investments to enable effective trade-offs and business decisions.

The Finance Manager role will provide comprehensive financial support within ETS, with a focus on decision support analytics. The Finance Manager should be a dynamic individual who can communicate effectively with business and finance partners, support key financial processes, deliver superior analytics, and manage complex tasks in a global organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the planning, forecasting and results processes for an expense base that drives critical investment decisions for the Enterprise
• Perform strategic ad-hoc analyses and research to turn data into insightful information driving business decisions.
• Prepare and present insightful analysis and key recommendations to Finance and ETS Senior Leadership to drive decision making
• Partner with key Finance, Business, and Technology stakeholders to drive efficiencies and achieve similar goals
• Perform ad hoc analytics as required, leveraging Finance and ETS analytical data
• Track and analyze key issues and trends while liaising with business partners to develop in-depth analysis on operational and financial results
• Provide value-add decision support to business partners with a pro-active approach
   

Minimum Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant analytical and financial work experience
• Self-starter with the ability to drive results, work with ambiguity, and create insights to drive results
• Strategic thinking - an ability to deep dive into numbers and synthesize complex data while pulling together the bigger picture and key story for an executive/senior audience
• Ability to grasp and explain complex concepts quickly; strong business acumen, able to follow business and industry trends and make use of this in the main AXP business lines
• Strong collaboration and relationship building ability. Able to influence others without having direct authority, including demonstrated ability to influence senior management across the company
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables while meeting tight deadlines
• Robust communication skills, written and verbal
• Strong work ethic with a will-to-win and demonstrated personal excellence
• Understanding of Oracle, TM1, and other financial tools
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint required
• BS degree in Finance or similar; MBA/CPA a plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Gen AI tools, Power BI, Oracle ledger and P&L reporting, and TM1 tools preferred

Salary Range: $89,250.00 to $150,250.00 annually + bonus + benefits
