The Regional Wastewater Reclamation Department’s Conveyance Division is looking for an individual who takes pride in their work as part of a team. This person will understand the importance of accuracy and organization within a warehouse setting, along with having computer skills to purchase, track, and distribute goods and services for our division. Essential Functions:

Receives, inspects, and verifies incoming goods against invoices or other documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages;
Stores items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas;
Processes requisitions, pulls, and distributes items to shipping or to designated areas, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions;
Operates and maintains warehouse vehicles and equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks;
Follows proper handling procedures for various materials, including hazardous substances, to ensure compliance with safety regulations;
Assists in routine cleanup of warehouse and other storage areas, maintaining a safe and organized work environment;
Ensures items for shipment are properly packed and labeled according to company and regulatory standards;
Tracks inventory balances and reorders supplies when necessary, minimizing stock-outs and overstock situations;
Coordinates the logistics of shipments, including scheduling, tracking, and documentation;
Maintains accurate records of all incoming and outgoing materials, updating inventory management systems as required;
Conducts regular physical inventories and reconciliations to ensure system accuracy;
Trains and mentors junior warehouse staff, setting performance standards and monitoring;
Performs courier service following designated courier route and procedures;
Uses Microsoft Office 365 – Outlook, Word, Teams, SharePoint, Excel, etc.;
Uses inventory management software and asset tracking systems, like BarCloud, Advantage (AWS), or Workday.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma, General Education Development (GED) Certificate or equivalent, AND two years of stocking, receiving, and/or inventorying experience.
OR:
One year of experience with Pima County in a Warehouse Supply Technician I or related position as determined by the department head at the time of recruitment.

Preferred Qualifications: (Be specific in describing your experience in your application. Ensure the descriptions provided illustrate your competencies, specifically addressing the required and preferred qualifications.):
Minimum one (1) year experience operating and maintaining warehouse vehicles and equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
Minimum one (1) year experience and knowledge in the use and application of sodium hypochlorite or similar disinfecting chemicals.
Minimum one (1) year experience computer-based experience utilizing specialized inventory/asset management and/or purchasing software, including Infor IPS, Maximo, Advantage, or Workday.
Selection Procedure:
Pima County Human Resources Department reserves the right to admit to the selection process only those candidates that meet the minimum qualifications. All applications will be assessed based on an evaluation of the listed education and experience. Candidates meeting the minimum qualifications may be further evaluated/scored against any advertised Preferred Qualifications. The hiring authority will interview and select the successful candidate from a referral list provided by Human Resources. Additional assessments/testing may be required as part of the selection process.

Licenses and Certificates: Valid driver license is required at time of application. Valid AZ driver license is required at time of appointment. The successful applicant will be subject to a 39-month DOT Motor Vehicle Record review to determine applicant’s suitability to operate county vehicles in accordance with Pima County administrative procedures. Failure to obtain and maintain the required licenses and certifications shall be grounds for termination. Any offer of employment resulting from this recruitment is contingent upon Fleet Services’ review and approval of the candidate’s driving record.
Special Notice Items: The County requires pre-employment background checks. Successful candidates will receive a post-offer, pre-employment background screening to include verification of work history, education, and criminal conviction history. Physical/Sensory Requirements: The ability to: lift, push, pull, and carry 50 pounds or more; stoop and bend; wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE); and independently move and manipulate heavy objects.
