Health Unit Coordinator

Under the direction of the Manager/designee performs a variety of duties related to the clerical and receptionist activities of the department and serves as the focal communication source in the nursing station and/or reception area and performs related duties as assigned. Ages of Patients:  Adolescent to geriatric.

Shift details: Full-time, 36 hours weekly, Variable shift.

 

Required Qualifications: 

• Coursework/Training - Medical Terminology education.
• Medical Terminology experience.

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Coursework/Training - Unit Secretary course completion.
• Health Unit Coordinator Certification upon hire. 
• 1 year - Hospital, physician office, or other medical setting experience.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position.  The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
