
To support the virtual commissioning projects on controls related activity for a variety of applications including hard tool welding, robotic welding and material handling, conveyer, machining and transfer systems for Vehicle operations & Power trains.
To develop a PLC / Robot program for any VO & PTO applications by reading through the process documents.
To support the Virtual commissioning engineer for understanding & debugging the PLC / Robot programs of any applications.
In this role the candidate will act as a network and think innovatively while executing the following responsibilities:
Understands customer specifications and standards for use in developing simulated hardware components and systems.
Researches, develops, and customizes new hardware and software interfaces.
Must be capable of developing simulated system structure and components from scratch.
Coordinate and review with Virtual Commissioning engineer, Controls Technical Leaders, and colleagues to maintain consistency within a given project.
Review Electrical drawing, hardware schematics and software programs for implementation into a simulated environment.
Develop and/or modify PLC programs with any specific Programming language LAD, STL, SCL etc.
Develop and/or modify Robot programs with any robot specific Programming language.
Works within the scope definition and timing (due date) requirements.
Supports virtual commissioning and debugging for intermediate to complex machine applications.
Use Ford GVOSS Standard controls & automation check list to validate the concepts and deliver the PLC, HMI program for implementation
Prepare regular work reports & other Presentations required

Bachelor's in engineering or equivalent
(Mechatronics / Electrical/Instrumentation/Electronics /Industrial/Manufacturing/Automobile)
