Senior AI Engineer

Oliver James is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to design and build intelligent systems capable of autonomous reasoning and decision-making. The role focuses on developing AI agents powered by large language models to solve complex problems and integrate these systems into real-world products and enterprise platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop agent-based AI systems that can autonomously plan, reason, and execute complex workflows
• Build and deploy LLM-powered applications using modern AI frameworks and orchestration tools
• Develop systems that allow agents to interact with APIs, databases, tools, and external services
• Implement memory, reasoning, and planning capabilities within AI agents
• Integrate AI agents into enterprise platforms, applications, and business processes
• Build evaluation pipelines to test agent performance, reliability, and safety
• Optimize AI workflows for latency, cost efficiency, and scalability
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and data teams to identify opportunities for autonomous AI solutions

Requirements:

• Strong experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs) and generative AI systems
• Experience developing agentic workflows or autonomous AI systems
• Familiarity with prompt engineering, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), and model evaluation
• Strong proficiency in Python
• Experience building scalable backend systems and APIs
• Experience with one or more of the following: LangChain / LangGraph, AutoGen, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, Semantic Kernel
• Experience building systems involving tool use, multi-step reasoning, or orchestration of multiple agents
• Experience integrating AI models with external tools, APIs, and structured data
