Redis is a company that provides the technology powering fast applications used globally. They are seeking a Senior Product Manager to oversee the DBaaS market, engage with customers and stakeholders, and manage product lifecycles while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for DBaaS (Database-as-a-Service) market/ecosystem
- Interact with customers, partners, customer-facing organization
- Use: Amazon RDS, Google AlloyDB, Microsoft SQL Managed Instance, Nutanix Era, Red Hat OpenShift/analytics stacks (Snowflake, Looker, Tableau, Elasticsearch, Grafana, Prometheus)
- Design declarative automation for install, patching, backups, horizontal scaling (Kubernetes-native interfaces)
- Use Snowflake/Looker to analyze service growth patterns, operational costs, features utilization; Define/document detailed product requirements
- Collaborate with architects, R&D, internal/external stakeholders
- Maintain prioritized backlog of features
- Manage priorities; ensure timely execution to specifications
- Work with product marketing team on go-to-market plans
- Work with education team to document product capabilities
- Train internal/external customers
- Act as primary product evangelist within organization, partners, greater community
- Manage lifecycle of Redis’ joint product offerings with strategic cloud partners; champion product Portfolio; define/ document detailed product requirements in collaboration with architects, R&D, Internal/external stakeholders
- Participate in Agile development methodologies
- Maintain/prioritize features backlog, daily standups, grooming sessions
- Serve as product evangelist
- Champion for build awareness/understanding, grow adoption; communicate sprint commitments, Impediments, progress throughout product life-cycle
- Draft/communicate release notes; create buy-in for product roadmap internally/key external partners; Reach out to customers
- Solicit feedback on products/services
- Partner with cross-functional departments/ stakeholders to define deliverables
- Conduct market research/competitive analysis
- Gather customer feedback; analyze data to identify customer needs/market opportunities
- Communicate product vision, strategy, progress to internal stakeholders (executives, development teams, sales teams)
- Ensure product quality/usability through rigorous testing/user feedback loops
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, best practices in product management
Requirements:
- Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Design Strategy, or Marketing plus 2 years experience
- Experience to include using: Amazon RDS, Google AlloyDB, Microsoft SQL Managed Instance, Nutanix Era, Red Hat OpenShift/analytics stacks (Snowflake, Looker, Tableau, Elasticsearch, Grafana, Prometheus)
