In this role, you will provide engineering and consulting services for transportation projects, including field investigations, engineering analysis, and project management.
Responsibilities:
- Lead safety efforts for the team and ensure the team follows safety rules and guidelines
- Promote continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects. Ensure best practices are being followed and hold team members accountable for quality control standards
- Plan, schedule, conduct, and/or coordinates engineering work involving conventional engineering practices but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements
- Senior level engineering professional providing technical direction required for production and completion of unique or complex projects
- Responsible for managing the team in conceptualizing the initial design and/or investigative approach for an entire major transportation project or segments of a large transportation project
- Monitor activities, allocate resources, and assign tasks to ensure targets are met
- Provide review of projects requiring complex and innovative investigation techniques and supervise the analysis and formulation of recommendations in written reports to clients; provides technical review of reports
- Coordinates with lead project accountant for financial management of business intelligence, invoicing and collections
- Lead technical training and make informed decisions based upon state-of-the-art technology issues
- Mentoring and coaching key project team members to execute the projects
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Minimum 8-11 years' experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration
- Transportation experience with DOTs
- Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history
- Master's degree
