Regal Rexnord is a publicly held global industrial manufacturer that provides sustainable solutions powering motion. The Senior Business Development Manager will lead commercial and technical support for Specialized Distribution and General Industry customers, bridging customer requirements with engineering capabilities and ensuring collaboration with the Clutches and Brakes team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize North American ETO-based Specialty Distribution channels (feed, weed, seed)
- Coordinate market strategy with key Clutches and Brakes (C&B) teams: Brand, Marketing, Product Management, Finance, Engineering, and Design
- Capture Voice-of-Customer insights to identify market needs and champion solutions in the NPD process
- Implement sales plans and initiatives to increase share and revenue through strong technical relationships with channels and IPS teams
- Manage and grow top account opportunities by leveraging new products and past successes into similar accounts
- Build strategic relationships with decision-makers at high-growth accounts, directly and via chosen partners
- Secure customer specifications and preference for Regal Rexnord’s full C&B portfolio
- Act as the C&B solutions expert for specialty distributors and key accounts: lead presentations, support visits, webinars, and influence specifications. Serve as a trusted advisor
- Provide pre-sale technical and applications support to both internal and external customers
- Support sales teams with technical expertise during customer meetings and proposals
- Interprets customer needs and aids the customer in defining technical and commercial requirements
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product specifications and industry standards
- Contribute to product customization discussions and feasibility assessments
- Work with Commercial Operations to standardize Salesforce processes for tracking share growth activities
- Collaborate with C&B field service teams to increase capacity and drive product pull-through
- Conduct on-site visits to plants/sites in our core industries
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or comparable field of study) required
- Minimum 10+ years of technical sales or sales engineering role, preferably in industrial or distribution environments and working with customized solutions
- Understanding of ETO (Engineer-to-Order) processes and technical documentation
- Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- Solid business acumen in Sales, Business Development, and Sales Operations
- Strategic mindset; familiar with 80/20 methodology
- Knowledge of Kaizen and Lean principles
- Ability to lead change and continuous improvement initiatives
- Self-starter with a proactive, “can-do” attitude
- Excellent organizational skills
- Proficient in Office 365 (PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook); as well as CRM and BI tools
- Valid driver's license
- Willing to travel extensively (40–60%)
- Language: English required; Spanish is a plus
