Power Utility Products Company, Inc. (PUPCO) is seeking a strategic and relationship-driven Business Development Manager to drive market expansion and revenue growth within the Datacom and Telecom industries. This role focuses on developing new business opportunities, strengthening channel partnerships, and identifying growth opportunities across key markets.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Datacom and Telecom markets
- Develop and execute business development strategies that support company growth objectives
- Build and manage relationships with sales agencies, manufacturer representatives, and key channel partners
- Expand the company’s presence in new markets and customer segments
- Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify industry trends and growth opportunities
- Partner with internal teams including sales, marketing, product, and operations to execute growth initiatives
- Develop business cases and evaluate ROI for new market opportunities and partnerships
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings
- Track and report on business development initiatives and market insights
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships
- 5+ years of experience selling into the Datacom or Telecom industry (required)
- Experience working with channel partners, sales agencies, or manufacturer representatives
- Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills
- Ability to identify market opportunities and develop strategic growth initiatives
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate market insights into actionable strategies
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office 365 (NetSuite preferred)
- Experience in a fast-paced environment
