POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for efficiently dispatching field service technicians to customer sites and coordinating workflow in a timely manner. The Dispatcher ensures that service requests are handled promptly and that customer satisfaction is maintained.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of Customer Service experience, strong communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
- Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook)
- Previous dispatching experience helpful
- Regular and punctual attendance is required
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking service.
- Enter work orders into the dispatch board in BuildOps and assign technicians to complete the work order.
- Schedule technicians to customer sites, track schedules, and communicate schedules to customers; ensure work orders are complete and follow up with technicians if additional time is needed.
- Review reports to ensure scheduled time and actual time on a work order are accurate.
- Review reports weekly to ensure work orders are entered and coded correctly, making changes if necessary.
- Update dispatch notes to reflect any issues, marking the call complete if needed, and ensuring a resolution code is populated in the work order.
- Be familiar with field technicians’ strengths to dispatch the right technician to the job.
- Inform the Service Manager and Service Supervisor of work progress and any issues affecting service operations.
- Understand city layout for the assignment of scheduled work and reassignment for spot calls.
Compensation: $28/hr – $35/hr starting pay
