Summary
The P&C Marketing Director will provide marketing for Commercial Lines accounts and maintain strong relationships with carriers through the following duties.
50% Relationships and Marketing
30% Insurance Knowledge
Possess extensive knowledge of various Property and Casualty lines of business and is capable of researching various resources to gain more knowledge. Applies this to all other areas of responsibility.
10% Teamwork, Communication and Organization:
Works together with team and with other departments, such as Sales Producers, Account Managers, etc. Plans and discusses the execution of strategies. Meets deadlines set forth by Producers. Volunteers to back up and/or assist other as needed. Manages PTO with departmental needs. Completes special projects as assigned by Director. Assists in training new team members.
10% Determination
Displays commitment and initiative to meet department and agency education goals as set forth in the organization’s education program.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises approximately 1-5 employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Requirements
Education and/or Experience
At least five years of related insurance experience and/or training, preferably handling multi-line, commercial accounts; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certifications
Must hold applicable state insurance license or have the ability to obtain such within 90 days of employment. Must be able to obtain insurance designations as set forth by the organization’s education plan.
