Role Overview
The General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and operational performance of the manufacturing site, including warehouse and fulfillment operations. This role ensures best-in-class performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee engagement through the effective use of technology, continuous improvement, innovation, and strong leadership accountability.
The General Manager drives operational excellence while fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and annual operating plans.
How you will make an impact:
- Provide full operational leadership for the manufacturing site, including production, warehouse, and fulfillment center operations.
- Serve as the senior site leader with responsibility for overall performance, workforce planning, financial management, and strategic execution.
- Ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of all site activities, maintaining a strong safety-first culture.
- Lead and develop the site leadership team to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.
- Develop and execute both strategic and tactical plans aligned with corporate goals, profitability targets, and customer service objectives.
- Drive innovation and implement best-in-class operational strategies, leveraging technology and process optimization.
- Own site-level financial performance, including budget management, cost control, capital planning, and profitability.
- Ensure operational deliverables are achieved on schedule and within budget.
- Build strong cross-functional partnerships with senior leaders across supply chain, manufacturing, HR, finance, and commercial teams.
- Champion talent development by identifying, attracting, developing, and retaining high-performing leaders and teams.
- Foster an environment where the site is recognized as an employer of choice through engagement, accountability, and performance culture.
What you bring to the team:
- Strong expertise in manufacturing and warehouse operations, including receiving, production processing, distribution, and shipping.
- Proven experience leading large teams and developing high-performing leadership structures.
- Demonstrated success in strategic planning and execution, including achievement of annual performance improvement targets.
- Experience implementing and optimizing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other operational technologies.
- Strong background in Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies, with successful program implementation experience.
- Experience with new facility start-ups, business integrations, acquisitions, or multi-site leadership.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project) and operational systems.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically, act decisively, and lead with urgency and accountability.

Where You’ll Work and What’s required:
- Bachelor’s degree required (or equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience).
- Minimum of 5+ years of progressive operations leadership experience in large-scale manufacturing, distribution, or fulfillment environments.
- Demonstrated leadership responsibility for facilities with 300+ full-time employees preferred.
- Experience leading complex distribution or manufacturing operations with full P&L accountability.
- Bilingual Spanish highly preferred
