Role
SmarterDx is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Principal Reporting Analyst to join our Operational Excellence team. This critical role will be responsible for partnering with Customer Success leadership to build operations analytics from the ground up and delivering the data insights that drive strategic, data-based decisions.
You will be the lead in gathering, synthesizing, and presenting high-impact data on our internal processes and operations, empowering the Customer Success team to proactively address challenges and scale efficiently. You will be a vital part of shaping operational strategy, setting analytical best practices, and ensuring we achieve our aggressive near and long-term goals.
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain advanced reports, dashboards, and metrics using business intelligence tools to track, forecast, and proactively manage the performance and strategic impact of all Customer Success initiatives
- Lead collaboration with Data Engineering, Data Analytics, and Product teams to establish data integrity standards, streamline complex reporting processes, and drive the automation of data extraction and transformation across critical Customer Success data domains
- Present findings and recommendations to Customer Success leadership and other cross-functional teams in a clear, concise, and actionable manner

- Focus on data related to the impact of SmarterDx's suite of AI solutions on hospital performance and earned revenue
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Finance, or a related discipline
10+ years of experience as a Reporting Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, or a similar operational data-focused role, preferably in a high-growth SaaS or Health Tech environment
Expert proficiency in SQL for querying, manipulating, and optimizing queries on complex datasets
7+ years of experience with advanced data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI, etc), including managing platform deployment and governance
Proven ability to independently translate complex, ambiguous business questions and requirements into technical reporting specifications and high-impact, actionable insights for senior leadership
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, with a history of presenting complex data to C-suite and non-technical audiences
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a Senior or Lead capacity, including mentoring junior analysts or owning a significant data domain/platform
- Direct experience supporting a Customer Success, Sales, or Post-Sales organization in a strategic capacity
- Deep familiarity with clinical documentation improvement (CDI) or medical coding processes within a hospital revenue cycle context
- Expertise working with and integrating operational data from systems such as Jira, Salesforce, Zendesk, Greenhouse, and ChurnZero
- Technical mastery of modern BI and data workflow tools (e.g., Omni, Hex, Tableau, and advanced Excel/Python for data wrangling)
Compensation
$140,000 - $160,000 salary
