ScionHealth empowers caregivers and values every voice in their quest for patient care. The Senior Director of Facilities and Project Management will oversee facility operations and capital projects, ensuring compliance with regulations and efficient functioning of healthcare facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Serves as the primary support center lead, working in conjunction with facilities management leadership and other hospital departments (clinical, administrative, etc.), ensuring that facility needs are met and operational goals are aligned with hospital objectives
- Serves as the primary support center lead, working in conjunction with facilities management leadership and other hospital departments (clinical, administrative, etc.), ensuring that the physical infrastructure, including buildings, equipment, and systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.), are functioning effectively and efficiently and there is a plan to resolve emergent issue immediately
- Lead project management efforts for assigned hospital construction and infrastructure initiatives
- Maintain and update project timelines, budgets, and forecasts
- Oversee project execution through completion and state agency review
- Manage capital improvement and asset preservation programs across multiple facilities
- Develop and manage project budgets, including hard and soft costs
- Provide technical oversight in scheduling, budgeting, consultant and contractor selection
- Assemble, negotiate, and manage contracts with consultants, vendors, and contractors
- Facilitate communication between project stakeholders including state agencies, architects, engineers, and facility staff
- Monitor on-site progress of projects and ensure compliance with quality and performance criteria
- Maintain relationships with vendors and evaluate performance and risk
- Ensure compliance with organizational standards, industry regulations, and safety requirements
- Monitor accounts receivable related to project billing and ensure alignment with financial goals
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., OSHA, NFPA, ADA, Joint Commission, and other healthcare standards)
- Maintain and prepare for inspections, audits, and certifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
- Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of progressive experience in enterprises facilities and construction management
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and scheduling pertaining to construction
- Ability to lead multiple medium-to-large projects simultaneously
- Effective communicator with ability to interface with hospital leadership and external stakeholders
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel as needed to project sites
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and project management software
- Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
- Frequent use of hands, vision, and verbal communication
- Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
- Office and on-site construction environments
- Exposure to construction hazards, noise, dust, and varying weather conditions
- Requires use of appropriate safety equipment and adherence to safety protocols
- Regular travel to healthcare facility locations as needed for project oversight
