Staff AI Engineer

Lumen Resources is seeking a Staff AI Engineer for their Greenhouse Team. The role involves designing and building intelligent multi-agent systems while establishing responsible AI practices across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a senior technical contributor and go-to expert for AI engineering across the Greenhouse team
• Design, build, and maintain multi-agent orchestration systems, including agent memory, reasoning paths, tool use, and inter-agent communication
• Identify and implement AI/ML solutions including LLM APIs, RAG patterns, embeddings, and intelligent automation
• Partner with architecture to ensure AI systems align with enterprise security, governance, and performance standards
• Build and integrate AI capabilities into application workflows where they deliver clear, measurable value
• Champion responsible AI practices including auditability, model lifecycle management, and scalable deployment patterns
• Guide end-to-end solution design ensuring stability, reusability, and alignment with business outcomes

Requirements:

• 8+ years of full-stack engineering experience (frontend, backend, APIs)
• Hands-on experience building multi-agent orchestration frameworks, this is a must
• Strong experience with LLM APIs, RAG patterns, embeddings, and agentic workflows
• Cloud-native engineering experience (microservices, CI/CD, automation)
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience with agent memory, confidence scoring, and reasoning auditability
• Exposure to model governance and responsible AI frameworks
• Experience delivering enterprise-level AI platforms or internal developer tooling
