About this role
H2Engineering is a collaborative organization focused on tackling complex building challenges. They are seeking an experienced Fire Protection Engineer (PE) to design and support fire protection and life safety systems for various projects across North Florida.
Responsibilities:
- Design and support fire protection and life safety systems
- Prepare and seal calculations, drawings, and technical reports
- Apply NFPA, IBC, and Florida Building Code requirements
- Collaborate with architects, MEP teams, clients
- Support projects from design through construction
Requirements:
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida
- Active Fire Protection Engineer license in Florida
- 5–10 years of fire protection engineering experience
- Strong knowledge of NFPA and building codes
- Experience with fire sprinkler and fire alarm systems
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- Must live in North Florida (Panhandle → Jacksonville → Gainesville)
- Revit experience preferred
