Interface Engineer (HL7) – Remote | Healthcare Integrations.

Strategic Systems Inc is a Microsoft-aligned healthcare technology organization delivering enterprise clinical integrations nationwide. They are seeking Interface Engineers to build and support HL7-based interfaces across hospital and EMR environments, focusing on hands-on integration work and customer collaboration.

Responsibilities:

• Build, configure, and test HL7 interfaces (ADT, ORU, ORM, SIU, etc.)
• Define interface specifications based on client and vendor requirements
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues (data flow, mapping, connectivity)
• Work directly with healthcare customers during implementations
• Collaborate with Development, QA, Support, and Microsoft-aligned teams
• Support go-lives and post-production stabilization

Requirements:

• 2+ years of hands-on HL7 interface development experience
• Experience building/testing interfaces with clients
• Understanding of HL7 message structure (segments, triggers, components)
• Experience with an interface engine (Mirth, Rhapsody, Cloverleaf, Corepoint, etc.)
• Basic to intermediate SQL query writing
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking fundamentals
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
• Epic, Cerner, or other EMR integration experience
• TLS / mTLS experience
• XML or JavaScript
• PowerScribe or PACS familiarity
