C1 is a leading provider of advanced communications and data technology for businesses. The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for ensuring the availability of corporate data and voice networks, designing and deploying network infrastructures, and managing network hardware and software.
Responsibilities:
- Designs and deploys company LANs, WANs, and wireless networks
- Administers routers, switches, firewalls, wireless
- Resolves trouble tickets
- Monitors and tests network performance and provides network performance statistics and reports
- Evaluates and recommends near- and long-term network capacity needs
- Creates and maintains documentation as it relates to network configuration
- Conducts research on network products, services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the networking industry
- Practices network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information
- Manages network security solutions
Requirements:
- 10+ years of network administration
- 5+ years in a network engineer role
- Cisco CCNP certification
- Expert-level understanding of network protocols and services such as VoIP, BGP, OSPF, STP, VLANs, RADIUS, TACACS+, CAPWAP, 802.1x
- Network security – device hardening, intrusion prevention
- Cisco ASA – client, phone, site-to-site VPN
- Cisco routers/switches
- Cisco/Meraki wireless
- Network monitoring and reporting – Cisco Prime Infrastructure, SolarWinds, etc
- Ability to document, diagram, and discuss network infrastructure
- Experience with multiple site MPLS connectivity
- Design highly-available networks built for auto-failover
- Ability to shift gears and priorities as needed
- Avaya or Cisco phone system experience
- Cisco ACS/ISE
- F5 Load-Balancers
- Juniper routers/firewalls
- Extreme switches
