1Password is a rapidly growing company focused on creating a safe and productive digital future. The Staff Business Program Manager will operationalize technical partner-facing initiatives that support the product roadmap, ensuring new capabilities are launched with clarity and operational rigor.
Responsibilities:
- Own NPI operations as a program (end-to-end)
- Define and run the operating model for ecosystem operations tied to the product roadmap, including intake, prioritization, tracking, SLAs, and escalation paths
- Establish measurable expectations for what “ecosystem ready” means for roadmap milestones and launch moments
- Coordinate cross-functional execution across Product, Engineering, and supporting teams to ensure partner-connected initiatives move forward predictably and on schedule
- Drive integrated readiness plans with Product and Engineering leadership and key cross-functional partners (Comms/PR, Brand, Legal, Marketing, etc.)
- Ensure partner-related operational deliverables are completed on time, including: logo approvals and brand usage compliance for announcements and press releases, quote collection and approval workflows for PR moments and events, asset tracking and version control for time-sensitive communications
- Own end-to-end logistics and preparation for relevant external events and engagements, ensuring EPD (Engineering, Product, Design) has clear goals, talking points, and aligned internal support
- Deliver key EPD messages in external stakeholder interactions; representing the perspective and strategy and EPD leaders, capturing outcomes and driving timely internal follow-through on commitments, approvals, and next steps
- Create lightweight, repeatable playbooks and templates that reduce friction and improve consistency across teams
- Identify systemic bottlenecks and implement improvements (for example: clearer approval workflows, standardized intake forms, readiness checklists, and status reporting)
- Anticipate risks and coordinate mitigation plans before issues impact delivery
- Escalate with clear context, options, and recommendations when tradeoffs are needed (scope, timing, or sequencing)
Requirements:
- 6+ years of relevant experience in program management, business operations, or equivalent cross-functional delivery roles in a product/technology environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional programs with multiple stakeholders, dependencies, and deadlines
- Strong operational judgment, including comfort working with ambiguity and improving systems that are still forming
- Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to clearly document decisions, share status updates, and create process documentation
- Experience supporting product launches and go-to-market readiness efforts, particularly where approvals and external-facing assets are involved
- Familiarity with brand, PR, and legal review processes (for example: logo usage, quotes, embargoed announcements)
- Experience operating in incubation or early-stage environments where priorities shift quickly and processes need to be built as you go
- Familiarity with startup and developer ecosystems (founders, developer communities, accelerators, meetups, and partner events)
- San Francisco Bay Area-based (preferred), to support in-person participation in key external stakeholder moments and events; openness to occasional travel
