Stratton Royce is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to join their Guidewire ClaimCenter team. In this role, you will collaborate with stakeholders to translate needs into clear requirements and enhance the claims management system.
Responsibilities:
- Lead collaboration with business stakeholders, product owners, and subject matter experts to elicit, analyze, and validate complex functional and non-functional requirements through interviews, workshops, and data analysis
- Independently translate business needs into clear, actionable deliverables such as user stories, process flows, functional specifications, and well-defined acceptance criteria that align with business objectives and technical design
- Serve as a senior liaison between business and technical teams, ensuring shared understanding, alignment, and successful solution delivery across multiple initiatives
- Partner with development teams, architects, and SMEs to influence solution design and implementation approaches that align with strategic business goals and enterprise architecture standards
- Evaluate end-to-end business processes, systems, and data to identify inefficiencies, gaps, risks, and opportunities for optimization or automation
- Conduct comprehensive impact, dependency, and risk assessments; provide detailed analysis and recommendations to support solution trade-offs and decision-making
- Provide leadership throughout the Agile development lifecycle, actively participating in ceremonies and sprints while offering ongoing clarification and guidance to ensure delivery aligns with business intent
- Proactively identify, escalate, and mitigate risks or issues that may impact project timelines, releases, or business outcomes
- Partner with Product Owners throughout UAT to support requirements traceability, clarify business intent, and assist with defect analysis and resolution
- Collaborate with developers and support teams to analyze and resolve complex production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and recommend long-term corrective actions
- Mentor and support Business Systems Analysts by sharing best practices, reviewing deliverables, and contributing to continuous improvement of analysis standards
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, MIS or related field, or High School diploma and equivalent relevant work experience required
- Minimum 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Property & Casualty insurance required
- Advanced knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodologies
- Strong understanding of product development architecture and system integrations
- Proficiency in analytical and problem-solving techniques
- Excellent knowledge of user-centered design principles
- Demonstrated ability to lead discussions, influence decisions, and challenge assumptions constructively
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize independently
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including executive-level communication
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple complex initiatives
- Proficient in MSO/365 applications such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
