About this role
MBO Partners is a deep jobs platform that connects independent professionals and microbusiness owners with enterprise organizations. They are building a talent community of Data Engineers who are passionate about delivering high-quality services and will guide clients through the digital landscape by cleaning, transforming, and aggregating data while implementing database systems.
Responsibilities:
- Laying the groundwork for data analysis and experimentation
- Guide clients through the digital landscape
- Clean, transform, and aggregate data
- Compile and install database systems
- Write complex queries
- Scale to multiple machines
- Put disaster-recovery systems in place
Requirements:
- You have an advanced degree in computer science (or the equivalent)
- hands-on experience in building data solutions for advanced analytics
- deep knowledge of big-data technologies, such as Hadoop and Spark
- solid programming skills in Python, Java, SQL querying, and Scala
- familiarity with advanced-analytics tools, such as Anaconda or Spark for machine learning
- excellent collaboration and communication skills—with teams and clients alike
- intellectual curiosity and a willingness to work outside your comfort zone
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency (green card holders)
