FortiContext is building foundational technology for enterprise AI with their Real-Time Context Graph and Agentic AI Firewall Proxy. They are seeking a hands-on Senior AI Engineer to architect and implement core components of these systems, prototype solutions, and work closely with the founder to shape the future of the product.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement core pieces of the RCG + Firewall Proxy
- Build a high-fidelity working prototype in the first 8–12 weeks
- Work directly with the founder to iterate, test, and refine the system
- Influence the tech stack, architecture, hiring, and future roadmap
- Become a founding technical leader as we raise our pre-seed and grow
- Modeling entities, relationships, data sources, authority rules
- Simple graph DB or relational edges model for MVP
- Relevance computation → proximity, recency, authority
- Dynamic context assembly (summaries, masking, dedupe, token budgets)
- Gateway between agents, tools, LLMs, and enterprise data
- Auth, RBAC/ABAC, policy evaluation, cost limits
- Tool interception layer (retrieval, SQL, API calls routed safely)
- Audit logging, traceability, usage metrics
- Integration with Agent Frameworks
- Extract relevant entities based on task/intent
- Assemble an LLM-ready context package
- Enforce token limits, freshness windows, and governance filters
- Capture outcomes from agent actions
- Update RCG edges, authority, recency, relevance
- Improve context quality over time without retraining the LLM
- Ship the first working system that demonstrates: 30–60% reduction in tokens, Lower hallucinations, Role-aware and task-aware context assembly, Full governance enforcement, A repeatable onboarding path for new agents
Requirements:
- 5–10+ years building production-grade AI/ML or backend systems
- Deep hands-on with Python
- LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar
- Vector DBs (Pinecone, Weaviate, Redis, Milvus)
- Graph DBs or graph-like modeling
- RAG pipelines
- LLM APIs: OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI, Bedrock
- Experience building API gateways, middleware, or control planes
- Excellent system design + architecture thinking
- Comfort designing MVPs and iterating rapidly
- Prior work with agentic systems
- Understanding of RBAC/ABAC, policy engines, OAuth/JWT/mTLS
- Observability (logs, metrics, traces)
- Streaming systems (Kafka, pub/sub)
- Knowledge of multi-agent patterns
