This position is a member of our Voluntary Cleanup/Corrective Action (VCP/CA) Section in the Remediation Division.
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Process incoming correspondence and route to appropriate recipients in a timely manner.
Format and edit outgoing correspondence; mail correspondence and log outgoing correspondence in database; route copies to appropriate recipients.
Screen incoming documents and applications for program area entry.
Maintain and monitor databases for the Section.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
Experience processing Public Information Requests (PIRs).
Experience with scanning documents and scanning equipment.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Graduation from a standard senior high school or its equivalent plus one year of full-time experience providing administrative and/or clerical support in an office setting.
Fifteen semester hours from an accredited college or university may be substituted for each six months of the required experience.

CURRENT TCEQ EMPLOYEES:
This position is also available as a lateral transfer opportunity (LTO) to TCEQ employees within the Administrative Assistant III state classification. The selected candidate must meet the minimum qualifications of the corresponding job in the Administrative Assistant III series.
WORK SCHEDULE
Standard business hours are M-F, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Individual and work group schedule determined by the Voluntary Cleanup/Corrective Action (VCP/CA) Section in the Remediation Division.
