The Project Manager II will oversee cross-functional projects related to Education's technology and operations strategy, utilizing project management methodologies to ensure project success and stakeholder communication.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of small projects or phases of larger projects
- Coordinate the activities of a project team under the direction of a Project Manager III or IV
- Achieve operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews
- Prepare and complete action plans
- Implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards
- Resolve problems
- Completes audits and identify trends
- Determine system improvements and implement changes
- Meet financial objectives by participating in developing forecasting requirements
- Participate in preparing an annual budget and scheduling expenditures
- Analyze variances and initiate corrective actions
- Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders
- Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests
- Explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field and three years of experience coordinating or managing various projects
- OR High School Diploma/GED and seven years of experience
- OR Associate's Degree and five years of experience
- OR Master's Degree and two years of experience
- Effective relationship building skills
- Project Management Certification (PMP)
- Experience working in project management, specifically with project documentation, planning, executing, monitoring/controlling and closing
- Experience in project management systems
- Served as a system owner in a previous role
- Experience with project risk mitigation strategies
- Knowledge of all five project process groups
- Familiar with predictive, hybrid and agile project methodologies
