Engineer II

Uniti is a premier insurgent fiber provider dedicated to enabling mission-critical connectivity across the United States. The Engineer II role involves developing and maintaining transport networks while collaborating with a team to refine skills and grow in an engineering career.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, schedule, and report on the progress of a high volume of projects (Quickbase, Jira, Tableau) and organize multiple tasks and priorities
• Work with existing network infrastructure (DWDM, MPLS)
• Implement additional bandwidth to support new services
• Create job packages to include technical instruction and method of procedures

Requirements:

• A bachelor's degree and 2-4 years related experience or 6+ years equivalent related Engineering/Technical experience or a combination of education and related Engineering/Technical experience required
• The ability to solve problems and a desire to grow professionally and individually
• Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office products
• Good organization, documentation, and technical writing skills
• Proficient in operation support systems (NGMSS or equivalent design systems)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivation, self-discipline and are you ready to work in a team environment?
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Availability for after-hours scheduled maintenance, between 12:00 am & 6:00 am weekdays (weekend maintenance is uncommon, but not unlikely)
