Baylor University is seeking a service-oriented HR Consultant who will serve as a strategic HR business partner for a portfolio of internal client groups. The role involves guiding HR business strategy, mediating employee relations, and assisting client groups in developing culture and problem resolution.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with internal constituents to provide HR services to our clients and serve as a strategic resource to client leadership on all employment matters
- Serve as the HR Consultant for designated client groups with low to moderately complex needs
- Assist with routine and moderately complex employee relations/performance issues
- Play a vital role in supporting and driving organizational change by empowering client leaders to make key business decisions
- Participate in workforce planning and resource allocations as led by client leadership
- Develop and implement strategies for designated departments based on knowledge of sound HR practices and operational objectives
- Develop training sessions to support effective team building to designated departments
- Provide support to the HR Consulting team by providing data collection, analysis and secondary support on employee relations issues and investigations
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission
- Ability to comply with University policies

- A Bachelor's Degree and five years of relevant work experience
- Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a Full-Time Basis
- A Master's Degree and eight years of relevant work experience
- Strong preference will also be given to candidates who currently have a PHR, SHRM-CP, SPHR, or SHRM-SCP
