Sphere Technologies Inc. is a technology and growth company for challenger consumer brands. They are seeking a Retail Media Growth Strategist who will design and execute holistic retail media strategies across key platforms, manage campaign execution, and provide analytics and insights to drive growth.
Responsibilities:
- Develop holistic retail media strategies across key platforms (Walmart Connect, Target Roundel, Instacart Ads, DoorDash, Gopuff, Thrive Market, Kroger Precision Marketing, etc.)
- Define budget allocation, KPIs, and performance frameworks tailored to each retailer's unique environment
- Align retail media with broader growth strategies. Understand how paid social, Amazon, and retail media influence each other
- Provide category and competitive benchmarking using available retailer data and insights
- Build, launch, and optimize campaigns within each retailer platform
- Manage bid strategies, budget pacing, and keyword/category optimization to maximize ROAS
- Test and iterate across creative, copy, audience segments, and placements
- Coordinate with retailer partner teams on co-op opportunities, beta programs, and exclusive promotional placements
- Stay ahead of platform updates, new ad formats, and beta testing opportunities
- Collaborate with brands and internal teams to develop retail-specific creative assets
- Understand what creative works on each platform (Walmart shoppers ≠ Instacart shoppers)
- Ensure all assets meet retailer compliance and brand guidelines
- Optimize creative for retail-specific performance metrics: CTR, share of voice, conversion rate, add-to-cart
- Provide integrated reporting across retail networks with performance trends and efficiency metrics
- Deliver actionable recommendations for budget allocation and SKU prioritization
- Translate retailer data into strategic insights for brand stakeholders
- Understand incrementality and halo effects across channels
- Troubleshoot campaign delivery and policy issues with retailer support teams
- Monitor account health, moderation status, and advertising eligibility across platforms
- Create feedback loops between paid media performance and organic product ranking
- Build relationships with retailer partner teams and account reps
