Strategy and Ops, Forward Deployed Engineering

Federato is on a mission to defend the right to efficient, equitable insurance for all. The Strategy & Ops, Forward Deployed Engineering role involves partnering with the VP of Forward Deploy to drive strategic initiatives, operational rigor, and scalable execution across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Translate organizational priorities into structured initiatives and execution plans
• Drive cross-functional alignment across GTM, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success via programs, metrics and scale
• Act as a force multiplier by independently advancing high-priority initiatives
• Design and implement delivery operating rhythms (forecasting, capacity planning, utilization tracking)
• Improve margin performance through data-informed staffing and planning
• Define and operationalize processes across onboarding, staffing models, delivery methodology, and tooling
• Own strategic initiatives (e.g., delivery framework redesign, ES packaging, staffing model evolution)
• Form and lead working groups with clear charters and timelines
• Identify structural inefficiencies and propose solutions grounded in business impact
• Create scalable internal documentation and playbooks
• Standardize processes without over-bureaucratizing
• Develop training and rollout materials for new systems or workflows
• Own programs that strengthen the delivery system (onboarding, staffing models, tooling, methodology)
• Drive long-range improvements that reduce friction and increase consistency
• Establish repeatable operating rhythms that enable managers to succeed

Requirements:

• 8+ years in GTM Strategy, Professional Services Ops, Revenue Ops, or similar
• Deep familiarity with SaaS Professional Services models (utilization, margin, staffing)
• Experience leading operational rollouts (systems, frameworks, process redesign)
• Strong executive communication skills — can draft strategy memos and present clearly
• Highly structured thinker who can move from ambiguity to action
• Comfortable operating independently in high-growth environments
