In today’s dynamic retail environment, it is an exciting time to be a part of the Customer Development team at Colgate. Our highly ambitious and focused Customer Development Team is dedicated to driving growth for Colgate Palmolive and for our customers in this constantly evolving landscape.
Our Customer Development Rotational Program is designed to give you a 360-degree view of our commercial business through two 12-month rotations. Over the course of 24 months, you will gain experience across:
Category Management: Providing the analysis and recommendations for customer presentations.
Digital Commerce: Developing recommendations for omnichannel success in the evolving retail landscape.
Direct Selling: Aligning brand strategies with customer priorities to drive growth.
As a Rotational Associate, you are the brains behind the operation. You will:
Analyze Data: Construct findings from different data points to make proposals for account planning.
Drive Efficiency: Provide information to determine the efficiency of promotions and evaluate the distribution of new products or test markets.
Monitor the Market: Supervise competitive activity, environmental trends, and conduct retail store audits to identify opportunities for success.
Collaborate: Work with the Colgate team to integrate our brand strategies with those of our customers.
A critical component of this program is interest and flexibility to relocate and experience unique office & team environments:
Rotational Hubs: Rotations will take place in Minneapolis, MN; Chicago, IL; Cincinnati, OH or Rogers, AR.
Structure: Each rotation will be in a different office location.
Post-Program: Upon completion, flexibility regarding the location of your full-time role is required; it will likely remain in one of the four hub cities.
About You
You are an analyzer- You are able to construct different pieces of data and utilize findings to make proposals to the broader team, equipping them with the information to recommend to customers and in account planning. You’ll provide insights and analytics around Colgate and competitive new item launches and develop recommendations around omnichannel in all retail environments

You are a team player- You value collaborating and communicating with team members to establish proven relationships and build your network throughout the organization
You connect the dots- You can connect data points and are eager to learn to initiate with the Colgate team and integrate them with customer strategies.
You create the future - You will look for opportunities to both improve and develop creative solutions. You adapt and adjust strategies with the customer from pre and post evaluation and return on investment analyses to ultimately incorporate learning into future sales proposals.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Flexibility and commitment to relocate as required by the rotational schedule.
Experience in Consumer Product Goods (CPG) or with syndicated services (Nielsen, IRI) is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Suite (Sheets, Slides, Docs).
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $70,000.00 - $105,000.00 USD
Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.
Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
