Acuity is a market-leading industrial technology company focused on transforming the lighting industry. They are seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to ensure the reliability and scalability of IT infrastructure and cloud applications, collaborating closely with engineering teams to enhance service operations and implement monitoring tools.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with engineering teams to characterize, measure, and monitor end-to-end service operations
- Performing proactive service maintenance, problem diagnosis, and incident management
- Leading incident resolution efforts and postmortems
- Designing and implementing monitoring and automation tools
Requirements:
- Proficiency in scripting with PowerShell or Shell
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code systems like Puppet, Chef, Ansible, or Terraform
- A system operations mindset focused on maintaining uptime and addressing disruptions
- Active Directory/Domain management experience
- Strong collaboration skills to work with other engineering teams
- Experience with programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, C++, or Go
- Familiarity with monitoring systems such as SolarWinds, PRTG, Azure
- Experience with web networking, TLS, reverse proxies, and load balancing
- Extensive troubleshooting and security experience with Linux and Windows systems
- Excellent written communication skills
