Mission Technologies, a division of HII, is focused on developing integrated solutions for national defense. The Software Developer will support the ASTRO program, developing a Range Control System to enhance mission planning and safety for military operations.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Advanced Space Technology for Range Operations (ASTRO) Phase III program for the Operational Test & Training Infrastructure (OTTI) Integrated Program Office (IPO)
- Deliver a prototype system to be used by Orbital Warfare and Electronic Warfare Range Operators to perform Mission Planning, make Range Safety decisions, and enable Range Instrumentation
- Develop and deploy a multi-functional Range Control System that integrates proven software technologies and an intuitive user experience into a secure cloud architecture
- Support teams in delivering secure, compliant, integrated solutions incrementally through iterative development cycles
- Maintain high transparency via daily scrums and ensure 'building quality in' through rigorous integration testing and security validation
- Collaborate across scrum teams, partner companies, and Government stakeholders to deliver mission-critical capabilities through an incremental implementation strategy responsive to dynamic customer demands
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Engineering, or related discipline preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Active DOD TS clearance required to start; ability to obtain SCI
- Experience as a Scrum Master, specifically in a Scaled Agile (SAFe) environment for Scrum Master (Level 4): 9 years relevant experience with Bachelor's Degree
- Experience in a Scaled Agile (SAFe) environment for Scrum Team Member (Level 3): 5 years relevant experience with Bachelor's Degree
- Willingness to travel regularly to Government and contractor sites with Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities
- Experience developing with Python, Java or TypeScript/Node.js, and SQL
- Experience working with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence) and SharePoint or GitHub
- SAFe Advanced Scrum Master (SASM), SAFe Government Practitioner (SGP), or SAFe Agilist (SA) certification
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification
- Familiarity/experience with AWS cloud services, particularly AWS GovCloud and FedRAMP-authorized environments (IL4/IL5/IL6)
- Experience with multi-level secure (MLS) systems and cross-domain solutions (CDS)
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Podman)
- Familiarity with NIST 800-53 controls and Authorization to Operate (ATO) processes
- Familiarity with Zero Trust Architecture principles and implementation
- Experience with API integration, microservices architectures, and service-oriented architecture
- Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering, SysML, and modeling tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler
