Veracross is a company that provides SaaS-based School Information Systems designed for independent K-12 schools. The Technical Program Manager will orchestrate cross-functional initiatives, ensuring teams have the necessary resources and clear project plans to deliver high-quality software, while also focusing on SIS and Platform initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage assigned SIS and Platform programs and initiatives; Platform focuses will include things like application security KPIs, penetration tests, AI, Data Ops. SIS programs include key product initiatives like our academics roadmap, new automations platform, and much more
- Facilitate agile ceremonies including daily meetings, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives
- Assist in optimizing and improving existing program management processes and methodologies
- Create and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and documentation for multiple projects simultaneously
- Identify risks, dependencies, and blockers, driving mitigation strategies and resolution
- Manage stakeholder expectations through effective, proactive communication and transparent reporting
- Track and communicate program status, health, metrics, and milestones to leadership
- Coordinate quarterly and annual capacity planning across assigned engineering teams to optimize resource allocation
- Drive continuous process improvement initiatives and best practices alongside product and engineering management
- Monitor and report engineering security KPIs

- 3-5+ years of program management experience within software engineering environments
- Knowledge and understanding of software development practices
- Track record of delivering complex software engineering programs on time and within scope
- Strong cross-team collaboration and ability to build relationships across teams and stakeholders
- Strong understanding of the types of security and maintenance challenges faced by engineering teams (i.e. vulnerability management, pen testing, etc)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
- Strong familiarity with agile methodologies (specifically Scrum) and experience serving as a Scrum Master
- Demonstrated ability to perform quarterly and annual capacity planning and resource allocation
- Experience with project management tools (Jira, Confluence, Asana, etc.)
- Basic understanding of current AI technologies
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience working in Edtech, AI or Security
- Agile certifications such as CSM, PMI-ACP, SAFe, or similar
- Experience using Jellyfish to track engineering team performance
- Familiarity with industry standards around security, privacy and compliance
