ASRC Federal Systems Solutions is seeking a Chief of Staff to support a NASA contract in Greenbelt, MD.
Job Description
As the Engineering and Technology Directorate (ETD) continues to grow both in size and complexity, additional support is required to managed efficiency and productivity. To continue on this trajectory, ETD is searching for a chief of staff to work closely with its executive team. This position will have an immediate impact on streamlining strategic initiatives, overseeing management objectives and all Directorate tracking and reporting, and coordinating communications between Divisions and down into our Branches. The ideal candidate has experience in a business and process management with a special focus on executive-level advising and interdepartmental collaboration.
Objectives of this Role
• Assist, manage, and track development and implementation of strategic initiatives under the guidance of senior leadership and Division heads
• Assist executives in decision-making, program management, and initiative implementation and manage communications for assignments and reporting
• Review, design, and execute organizational improvements including assisting in identifying knowledge and skills gaps with staffing resolution options
• Improve current processes and coordinate organizational procedures for optimized efficiency and productivity
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
• Support any needs from Center requests from OIIR, OSTEM, OCOMM, Legal and other groups that need input/review from ETD
• Serve as the primary interface for the ETD Front Office, vetting all data requests, meeting requests, and coordination between ETD leaders and organizational, center, and enterprise stakeholders; act as the communication hub, serving as the point of contact between leadership and external and internal stakeholders
• Manage and provide strategic guidance to Executive and Division Assistants for multiple shared executive calendars daily, ensuring smooth operations and optimal scheduling for senior leadership
• Support efficient weekly reporting to by coordinating inputs, summarizing information, reviewing with ETD, and submitting as requested
• Track, coordinate, and prepare responses to action items for the ETD while maintaining electronic files of completed packages and supporting documentation
• Review and first loot at high-quality presentations, charts, graphs, memos, spreadsheets, and other executive-level documents
• Strategize on employee engagement ideas and execute in alignment with ETD senior executives desires
• Conduct front office organization; staff meetings, action tracking and delegation
Skills and Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in Business Administration or similar field
• 8+ years in a business or executive management role
• Proven experience organizing and directing multiple teams and departments
• Excellent communicator in written and verbal form
• Extremely versatile, dedicated to efficient productivity
• Experience planning and leading strategic initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
• Proven success in a project coordination role
• Creative and strategic business focus specifically on developing creative solutions
• Strong project reporting skills, with a focus on interorganizational communication
• Strong action and task tracking and execution skills
