Dahl Consulting is seeking a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to support a global leader in water treatment and sustainability technologies. The role involves collaborating with product, engineering, design, and business stakeholders to define app features and ensure high-quality mobile experiences for a major iOS application.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with product, design, and engineering teams to define and deliver new iOS app features and enhancements
- Elicit, analyze, and document business and user requirements through user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications
- Translate complex business needs into mobile-friendly, technically feasible solutions based on iOS platform capabilities and limitations
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to support intuitive, user-centered workflows and interfaces
- Work closely with iOS engineers to clarify requirements and assist in solution design decisions
- Support Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and feature prioritization
- Evaluate existing mobile functionality and recommend improvements to workflows, usability, and performance
- Assist with testing and validation by reviewing test cases, supporting QA/UAT, and ensuring delivered features meet stakeholder expectations
- Maintain comprehensive documentation across the feature lifecycle
- Communicate clearly and proactively with stakeholders, offering status updates, tradeoff considerations, and solution recommendations
Requirements:
- Strong ability to translate business needs into functional mobile app requirements
- Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows
- Solid understanding of mobile app development concepts, particularly for iOS (e.g., app lifecycle, integrations, APIs, platform limitations)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with high attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple features or initiatives simultaneously and work independently
- Comfortable operating in Agile/Scrum development environments
- Basic SQL knowledge
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field—or equivalent experience
- Experience supporting consumer-facing or internal mobile applications
- Familiarity with UX principles and mobile design best practices
- Experience working directly with iOS development teams
- Exposure to tools such as Azure DevOps, Figma, or similar product/documentation platforms
