SmartLam North America is a leader in the mass timber industry, specializing in sustainable building materials. They are seeking a driven Project Manager to oversee projects from sale through production and onsite installation, ensuring timely completion and excellent customer experience.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary contact for customers and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
- Manage all phases of the project from sale through production completion
- Assist with production scheduling to align with customer timelines
- Lead pre-production meetings and design reviews as needed
- Track project status and costs with detailed record-keeping
- Generate RFIs, change orders, and submittals as required
- Utilize ERP software for efficient project tracking
- Collaborate with the Project Engineering team to ensure timely delivery of design engineering, 3D modeling, shop drawings, and production files
- Act as the voice-of-the-customer in internal meetings to support continuous improvement
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field
- 5+ years of project management experience in construction, manufacturing, design, or a related field
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction documents, architectural, and structural plans
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project)
- PMP certification
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and CRM software
